QES Community,
At last week’s PTA meeting, we shared that we were planning a Fun Run and Vendor Fairin November, but didn’t have details at that point as we were finalizing plans with our contacts at Severn Run High. That has happened and we wanted to share details about what you can expect from this event.
When: November 3
Check-in @ 9:00, Fun Run begins at 9:30am
Distance: ~1.1miles
Vendor Fair will run 9am – 1pm.
Where: Severn Run High School
8065 New Cut Rd, Severn MD 21108
There will be two registration choices for fun runners. You can choose the basic registration at $5 or opt to register AND purchase a t-shirt for $20. Shirts must be ordered by Oct 23, but BONUS, shirts are uniform-approved. You can register at qes.givebacks.com/store or by bringing cash/check to your classroom teacher.
This event is open to the community! ANYONE can register! If you’re not a runner, that’s okay! Walk the course, cheer on your classmates and/or visit with our vendors!

This event, like the others we have planned, are aimed at enriching our connection with the local community and providing a variety of options (on a variety of days) to our 528 student population. As a reminder, upcoming events include:
- THIS SATURDAY, Quarterfield at the Corn Maze: say Quarterfield at the front door or use QES24 when purchasing online
- Wednesday, Oct 2 – Bubba’s 33 Night
- Friday, October 11 – Movie Night (free to attend, will need to RSVP, flyer is coming home next week)
- Saturday, October 19 – Skate Night at Wheels! Purchase tickets at a discount ($7) in advance at qes.givebacks.com/store or $10 at the door.
